Unfortunately, little to no output has occurred in the subgenre in the decades since. Thankfully, Camp Motion Pictures plans on answering our prayers for pint-sized creeps with Ghastlies, out on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD this November. In the meantime, check out this new poster, released today on the official Ghastlies Facebook page.
Directed by Brett Kelly (Kingdom of the Vampire, Attack of the Giant Leeches [2008]), and written by Chris Bavota (Minutes Past Midnight), Ghastlies is the tale of three ghoulish creatures accidentally unleashed from an underground bunker by four sorority girls while on a weekend getaway in the country. With the pure-eighties tagline “Pure evil. Bite Sized.”, the film (starring Kim Valentine) is set to be a lot of throwback fun.
