Filmmaking Duo Behind “The OA” Team Up For ‘Clue’ Like Series “Retreat” For FX

Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, the filmmaking team behind Netflix’s series “The OA” and the film Sound of my Voice are teaming up once again, this time to write and direct a new mystery series titled “Retreat” that will air on FX. Marling will also star in the series, which sounds a lot like Clue, as Darby Hart, an amateur sleuth who attempts to solve a murder at a secluded retreat, Deadline reports. In the series, “Darby and 11 other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must fight to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.” A premiere date has not been announced at this time, but we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you haven’t seen “The OA”, you should check it out.

Netflix’s Mysterious New Series The OA Premieres This Week – Watch The Trailer

Monday, Netflix tweeted a series of strange tweets, “Have you seen death?”, “Have you seen darkness”, and last “Have you seen the light?”. Spooky right? The tweets are part of a social media campaign for their new series ‘The OA’. The eight episode series centers on Prairie Jackson (Marling), a woman who reappears seven years after she mysteriously disappeared. Much of the plot is being kept quiet, adding to the 8-episode original series’ myster Zai Batmanglij was in the directors chair for ‘The OA’, which he co-wrote with Brit Marling. Marling (The East) also co-stars in the series along with Ian Alexander, Will Brill (The Eyes of My Mother), Emory Cohen (The

The home-invasion western was written by Julia Hart and directed by Daniel Barber, who has been quoted by Bloody-Disgusting as saying “The Keeping Room focuses on the violent resilience and dramatic camaraderie of three Southern women as their home is besieged during the purges at the close of the American Civil War. Forced to defend their land and fight for their lives, the women take up arms against their male oppressors, shattering gender and genre conventions in the process.” Brit Marling (I Origins) is the leader of the group that includes Hailee Steinfield (Ender’s Game) and Muna Otaru in her acting debut. ‘Avatar’ actor Sam Worington, plays the role of a villainous solider who has set his sights on killing the women. ‘The Keeping Room’ premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, and was met with great reviews. The film will be in theaters across the U.S. on September
