Netflix’s Mysterious New Series The OA Premieres This Week – Watch The Trailer

Monday, Netflix tweeted a series of strange tweets, “Have you seen death?”, “Have you seen darkness”, and last “Have you seen the light?”. Spooky right? The tweets are part of a social media campaign for their new series ‘The OA’.  The newly opened Instagram account has been posting images from the series that leaves its followers with more questions than answers.

The trailer has just arrived and it’s pretty creepy, in a good way. It gives off a ‘Stranger Things’ vibe and seems to have a other-worldly aspect. The eight episode series centers on Prairie Jackson (Marling), a woman who reappears seven years after she mysteriously disappeared. Much of the plot is being kept quiet, adding to the 8-episode original series’ myster

Zai Batmanglij was in the directors chair for ‘The OA’, which he co-wrote with Brit Marling. Marling (The East) also co-stars in the series along with Ian Alexander, Will Brill (The Eyes of My Mother), Emory Cohen (The Place Beyond the Pines), Patrick Gibson (Cherry tree), Brandon Meyer (The Guest), Brandon Perea (Dance Camp), and ‘The Walking Dead’ star Scott Wilson.
