#SaveHannibal Is Trending After Fans Upset By News Of “Clarice” Series

Following the news reports earlier today about CBS greenlighting the Silence of the Lamb spin-off series “Clarice“, fans have taken to social media with #SaveHannibal in an attempt to breathe new life into the “Hannibal” series that was canceled back in 2015 after three seasons. Fans refuse to give hope that Bryan Fuller’s series adaptation of “Silence of Lambs” will return with stars Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy. Who could blame them? The series was a fantastic, dark, fascinating journey into the mind of a cannibal psychiatrist (Mikkelsen) and his relationship with a young profiler named Will Graham (Dancy). Fuller took to Twitter this afternoon to give his thoughts on the “Clarice“/”Hannibal” situation. Martha (De Laurentiis) & I tried many times to work with MGM to include Clarice into our Hannibal story. They ultimately told us they had their own plans for Clarice and they didn’t need Hannibal to tell her story.“ Fuller continued, “Don’t think this impacts a potential

Fans and critics alike were heartbroken when NBC announced back in 2015 that after only three seasons they were killing Hannibal. The series’ creator Brad Fuller has continued to tell fans that the series could be revived at some point and that the series is not completely dead. Last night on Twitter Fuller was asked about the series’ status and he had an interesting answer. Conversations couldn’t start until 2 years after the final airing of season 3,” he said. “[The De Laurentiis Company] has started those conversations. This takes time.” Both Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy have already made it clear that they would love to sink their teeth into a fourth season. I know Hannibal fans all have their fingers (and dinner forks) crossed that we will get another taste of the amazing, dark, and breathtakingly stunning series inspired by the cannibalistic character from Thomas Harris’ novels that introduced the world to Dr. Hannibal Lecter in 1981 in

Amazing Stories Revival In The Hands Of Hannibal Creator Bryan Fuller

As a kid, one of my favorite things to watch was reruns of Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. The series featured episodes that were everything from sci-fi to horror and was directed by the who’s who of directors including Martin Scorsese, Tom Holland, Tobe Hooper and Spielberg himself. But sadly, the show ended in 1987, after just two seasons. At SXSW Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller revealed that he is currently writing scripts for the show’s revival. He will be joined in the writers’ room by Emily Gordon, Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jane Goldman, Crave reports. We are working on a variety of scripts from a variety of sources, and we’ve got a lot of really great writers involved.” Fuller told Crave. “So it feels like I’m curating the Amazing Stories magazine. Yeah, so that’s very exciting because I get to collaborate with other writers and just let them do their thing under that umbrella, which is a relief.” Image: Crave
