“Big meets bigger” in the first trailer for New Line Cinema’s Rampage starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Brad Peyton is in the director’s chair for the film where he reunites with Johnson who played the lead in his 2015 earthquake film San Andreas. In Rampage, the live adaption of Midway’s game by the same name, “Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature

Everyone has a fear. Maybe yours is Arachnophobia (spiders) or Ophidiophobia (snakes). Mine happens to be Musophobia, rats, mice. I don’t know if it’s the teeth or those bald tales, but I do know that I had a little trouble watching the new trailer for Ratpocalypse. First reported back in 2015 when it was released in Moscow, Vladimir Uglichin’s Ratpocalypse stars Casper Van Dien. After a long wait, the film is finally coming stateside. The film centers on “American Senator John Perryman (Van Dien), a man of pure and humble soul with a warrior’s disposition, delivers a fiery speech in Moscow about the country’s main evil – corruption. A corruption so pervasive it will turn men into “rats.” He declares that he was ordered to speak to them from above and threatens everyone with the loss of their human form, which draws only guffaws and resentment from the people. Many take the Senator for a madman as gradually, all his

While insects have their place in the world let’s face it they can be a nuisance. Imagine if they were bigger and badder what kind of chaos they would cause. That’s the premise of Marko Mäkilaakso’s (interview) giant bug movie It Came from the Dessert. And we have a new trailer. Starring Vanessa Grasse, Mark Arnold, Harry Lister Smith, Claudia Trujillo, and Alex Mills, and co-written by Trent Haaga, the film was inspired by the video game of the same name. In our interview with Marko Mäkilaakso, we asked him to describe the film. This was his response: The story follows Brian and Lukas who are off to desert for a kegger party and celebrate Lucas’ victory in a motocross competition. His winning prize includes meeting the biggest action star in the world who the guys all idolize above all…and I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but giant ants attack! Brian and Lukas have to become the heroes they

I had the pleasure of interviewing Marko Mäkilaakso, the director and co-writer of the upcoming giant bug movie It Came From the Desert. Co-written by Trent Haaga, the film stars Mark Arnold, Claudia Trujillo, Vanessa Grasse, Harry Smith, and James Alper. Mäkilaakso also directed the 2011 zombie movie War of the Dead and Deadly Descent: The Abominable Snowman. Currently, he has two other films in development, Viking: Rise of the Warrior and Blowback. Horror Fuel: “What inspired you to adapt It Came From the Dessert from the 1989 game?” Mäkilaakso: “I actually wanted to make a motocross-action-comedy set in a desert with big spiders and 80’s vibe. That’s how it all started! The idea was inspired by “Eight legged freaks” and Cinemaware’s classic ”It came from the desert” game. I presented this concept to the producers in Berlin Film Festival few years ago adding that I wanted to call the movie ”It Came From The Desert”, because I loved the

We don’t get very many giant monster movies, except for ones that either feature Kong or Godzilla. Most horror fans love a cheesy “B” creature feature from time to time, and with zombies being so popular it was just a matter of time before someone went and combined the two sub-genres and added crocs. The star of this film is a giant undead crocodile. Director Robert Elkins’ new film is titled Zombie Croc: Evil Has Been Summoned. In the film a team of researchers and a hunter known as “Crocodile Jack”, venture into the swamp to battle a thirty-five foot-long resurrected croc that has been eating the locals. After entering the swamp the group discovers that a Voodoo priest has not only raised the hungry beast, but has been collecting human zombies. Bayview Entertainment will unleash Zombie Croc on the world on February 9, 2016.

Mrs. Perch (Eve Slantner), a wealthy woman with a green thumb, has been putting her special illegally imported fertilizer on her precious plants. She has no idea that the special fertilizer has been seeping into the ground and that a swarm of killer wasps have made their hive right in the path of the chemicals. The new generation of wasps are mutating into seven foot monsters. During a party for Mrs. Perch’s elite group of friends, suddenly the giant wasps appear and they’re on the war path. It’s up to Paul (Matt O’Leary) and Julia (Jessica Cook), two of the catering staff, Mrs. Perch’s son, played by Clifton Collins Jr. (Pacific Rim) and a local politician (Lance Henriksen) to save themselves from the giant mutant wasps. I wasn’t sure just what to expect from this creature feature that was directed by Benni Diez and written by Adam Aresty. I was pleasantly surprised. ‘Stung’ has that distinct feel, reminiscent of those
