I have seen my share of strange films but Valdimar Jóhannsson’s Lamb takes the cake. I have never seen anything else like it. When a couple (Noomi Rapace and Hilmir Snær Guðnason) discovers one of the sheep on their farm has given birth to something not completely human, not completely animal, a baby with a human body and a lamb’s head. They set their eyes on the creature they respond with a deadpan reaction like it was an everyday occurrence, and silently go about raising it in a bid to soothe their sorrow for their lost child. The couple’s reactions to the events throughout the movie are downright odd. The first sight of the child they have named Ada is not the only “meh” reaction they have. Journey back in time for the horror-thriller The Delivered (aka Fanny Lye Deliver’d) starring “Game of Thrones” actor Charles Dance. Movie Review: Bloody Marie (2019)

Marie (Susanne Wolff) has seriously hit the skids; her once successful comic career is up in flames due to her creative spark being extinguished and now she lives a completely drunken existence among the whores of Amsterdam’s Red Light District. As you can imagine, her life is one conflict after another as she starts shit in every liquor store and dive in town, and before long she takes to stealing from her neighbor. One problem with that, this causes a horrific spiral that our fucked-up heroine may not be able to survive! Look, we’ve all seen the “drunk in over their head in the horror biz” trope before, and in that Bloody Marie doesn’t seek to reinvent the wicked wheel… but that’s not to say this flick doesn’t have plenty of great shit (trust me, that’s a pro film critic term) to offer us! Ol’ Josef Hofer (Karl Markovics) is one bad hombre, and he is hell bent to get to a remote location, in this case a supposedly haunted house, where he can lie low. Once there, he finds the arcane abode inhabited by a sole occupant; Mina (Nadia Alexander) who admits to being the “monster” the locals are on about…and she is in fact an undead, flesh eatin’ ghoul who lives in her old home and munches on the occasional traveler. Movie Review: The Tooth Fairy (2018)

As family and friends gather on a failing rural farm, we learn that years previous they managed to capture an evil witch (the Tooth Fairy…I don’t even fucking know), and imprison her in the barn by way of sugar and dangling candy canes (sounds ridiculous, and it is…but you lot all know I dig on the absurd, so well played movie…well played). Well that seemingly fool proof prison is thwarted when a drifter simply opens the door and frees the wicked bitch of the west (after she chisels some of his teeth out of course). This results in her stalking and granting dark wishes (in exchange for teeth ‘natch) to the sad sack family…now, can they dispatch her once more and get on with their dreary lives? ‘Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter’ Is An Absolute Win

Finally, finally, finally I was able to watch the Neil Johnson written and directed film ‘Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter’. I have been anticipating seeing the movie for a long time, and (if you follow my twitter) have obviously been eager to write this review. I just want to start off by saying that I really enjoyed this movie. The movie has been presented as a whole bunch of things… a little ‘Mad Max’, a little bit ‘Terminator’, a little bit ‘Star Wars’, science fiction, drama, action…and a slew of other things. Well, it delivers on them all. From intergalactic battles in space, to making me laugh, to heart wrenching scenes.
