Movie Review: Agramon’s Gate (2019)

Richie (Kris Reilly) and Cassidy’s (Kaiti Wallen) are having a lil’ shindig, and they’ve had the seemingly shit-hot idea of hiring a psychic named Vesna (Aphrodite Nikolovski) to tickle the ol’ preternatural pickle and hopefully conjure up some grins. Well ol’ V-dawg suggests the group have themselves a lil’ seance action, which leaves Rich a tad lukewarm, seeing as how he’s a skeptical bastard at heart. The film follows a rebellious teen named Cassie Vanderbilt (Angelina Danielle Cama), whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen) decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen) out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family (Jimmy Doom and Erika Hoveland), it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment. Movie Review: Abstruse (2019)

Justin (Kris Reilly) and his best friend Daniel (Dennis Marin) hope to coerce a duo of barmaids, Mindy (Jessika Johnson) and Amanda (Kaiti Wallen), into making ye olde porno, which naturally results in Justin strangling Mindy to death. Amanda is none to thrilled, makes her escape, and informs the police… but they do jack shit since Justin’s daddy is a hot-shit senator (Dennis Haskins). Thankfully for our heroine, her dad Max (Tom Sizemore), is an ex-con and he plans on fixing the score. Unfortunately for our heroine, Justin is completely insane and begins going all-in on the murder biz. Will she be able to survive his machinations with her hide in one piece? Abstruse may seem like a action thriller on the surface, but this one has more to offer than you’d assume. First of all, the flick seems to exist in it’s own noir flavored reality where nearly everyone is corrupt or violent… or some combination of the two.

It’s Ponce de Leon 2099 as a genetic research company type-o-deal has ciphered a way of prolonging human life… if you got the dough that is, dig? Naturally said company is as crooked as a dog’s hind leg, and the way they go about their research is what the scientific community labels “fuckin’ wrong as balls”. Fortunately, the company’s CEO Bridget Pellegrini (Erika Hoveland) is kinda “hell naw” on the whole affair, and she wants that shit to cease, pee-ronto. Well, her board of directors reacts to that like one would a fart in a submarine, and tries to get her to cool ‘er jets, as does the the man with the slick-as-shit name, Dr. Magnus (Yan Birch)… hell, even her hubs Mark (Billy Wirth) puts the guilt trip upon our harried heroine. Long story short; Bridget gets locked away by the company (as part of their Executive Kidnap Community Outreach Program) while Magnus and his assistant Nikita (Vida Ghaffari)
