Supernatural Thriller ‘The Devil’s Light’ Possesses ‘Last Exorcism’ Director

Lionsgate announced last year that they are co-producing the supernatural thriller The Devil’s Light. James Hawes (“Penny Dreadful”) was in the director’s chair but that has now changed. The Last Exorcism’s Daniel Stamm is now listed as director, Bloody-Disgusting reports. Written by Robert Zappia (Halloween H2O), “The Devil’s Light tells the story of Sister Ann, a restless 25-year-old, who devoutly believes that performing exorcisms is her calling. But she is at odds with the institution’s traditions: sisters are not allowed to perform exorcisms, only priests. With the support of a mentor, a professor who senses her special gift, she is allowed to observe actual training sessions. Her desire to prove herself takes a personal turn when she meets one of the school’s most disturbed patients. During their harrowing encounters, Sister Ann comes face to face with a demonic force that infests the school and has mysterious ties to her own past. It is then that the power of evil and

There’s “No Salvation” In The Trailer For Russian Creature Feature ‘The Superdeep’

The trailer and first image for the Russian creature feature The Superdeep has clawed its way to the surface. In the film from writer-director Roman Karimov, “The Kola Superdeep Borehole is the most large-scale secret object of the country. In 1984, inexplicable sounds like the screams of many voices were recorded at a depth of more than 12 kilometers. In the wake of these events, the object was closed. A small research team went down below the surface to find out what secret the world’s deepest borehole was hiding. What they have found turned out to be the greatest threat in history. And the future of humanity is in their hands.” The Kola Superdeep Borehole is real. It’s located on the Kola Penninsula in the Pechengsky District. In 1989 the borehole reached a record-breaking depth of 40,230 feet, with its goal being to breach the earth’s crust. Set in 1984, the film pays homage to the genre classic The Thing.

Blu-ray Review: Snatchers (2019)

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own. Sara (Mary Nepi) thinks she’s hot shit; it’s senior year in high school and she’s finally become one of the in-crowd (thanks to completely giving up everything that made her unique), had a lil’ of the ol’ in n’ out with her bohunk boyfriend, Skyler (Austin Fryberger), and got her self a little alien bun in the oven, as those wacky-ass teens oft do amirite? Anyway, ol’ Sara gives birth with the quickness, and some sort of symbiotic beastly bug rockets from her socket… a bug that immediately goes on an unreasonably violent killing spree. Soon it’s up to Sara and her former best friend and nerd’s nerd Hayley (Gabrielle Elyse) to figure out how to stop her offspring from destroying the entire town! First of all, Nepi and Elyse make for a truly

Blu-ray Review: ‘Snatchers’ Is A Goretastic Horror Comedy You Need To See

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided with a free copy of the Blu-ray™ I reviewed in this post. The opinions I share are my own.” What’s worse than being a teen and finding out you’re pregnant? Being a teen finding out that you are pregnant with an alien hellbent on wiping out the human race. That’s what happens in Snatchers, from the writing/directing duo of Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman. Picture it, senior year and you’ve finally gotten in with the cool kids. Sara (Mary Nepi) thinks everything is going great, but things suddenly take a horrific turn the morning after she loses her virginity to teen hunk Skyler (Austin Fryberger). When she wakes she is shocked to find that she’s not only pregnant but looks like she’s due to give birth any minute. The only person she thinks of to turn to is her ex-BFF, the same one she dumped for the cool kids. Luckily, Hayley (Gabrielle Elyse) still cares.

The Crow Reboot Takes Flight Again

After two years of silence, it appears that The Crow reboot has once again entered active development according to Bloody Disgusting. Last time around Sony Pictures had announced the release date for their reboot of the 1994 classic with Corin Hardy directing and Jason Momoa starring as the iconic character Eric Draven. Just as the movie entered pre-production it was revealed that both Hardy and Momoa had exited the project and Sony removed it from the calendar. This time no director or stars have been revealed. According to the site Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group, and Electric Shadow are still involved. Several people have attempted to reboot/remake The Crow in the past but the films never seem to get off the ground. Some fans think it’s is cursed. Maybe it is. Actor Brandon Lee who originally starred as Eric Draven was tragically killed on set in a freak accident with a prop gun during the filming of a

The poster has arrived for Harley Wallen’s (Eternal Code) horror film Ash and Bone, starring Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu) and Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death). The film follows a rebellious teen named Cassie Vanderbilt (Angelina Danielle Cama), whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen) decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen) out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family (Jimmy Doom and Erika Hoveland), it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment. Ash and Bone, penned by Bret Miller, is produced by Painted Creek Productions, Cama Productions, and Auburn Moon. Calhoun Koenig (Law & Order SVU) and Shane Hagedorn (Wild Faith) round out the cast. The imagery I believe is our best yet and I felt the performances on both sides of the camera were
