With the pandemic causing chaos and delays with the film and TV industry we are left with questions to what will be renewed and what will be canceled. Today, we’ve got some good news, Netflix’s hit series “Locke & Key” is confirmed to be returning for season two and we’ve got an update. Carlton Cuse told IGN earlier this week that the team of writers are currently hard at work on the show’s second season, which Netflix has already months ago green-lighted. Netflix adaptation of “Locke and Key” has added Felix Mallard (“Neighbours”) to the growing cast that already includes Petrice Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Griffin Gluck, Darby Stanchfield, and Laysla De Oliveira. Variety reports that Mallard has been cast in the key role of Lucas Caravaggio, a charming young man whose exposure to magic leads to serious complications in the town of Matheson. “Locke & Key”, based on the comic of the same name from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, centers on three siblings who move to their ancestral home after their father is gruesomely murdered. Once there, they discover the house contains magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, an evil demon also wants to lay its clutches on the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them. The Netflix series will feature a 10-episode first season.
