New The Devil’s Candy One Sheet Arrives Ahead Of Next Week’s Release

IFC Midnight has unveiled brand new artwork (above) from renowned illustrator Ken Taylor for the brutal thriller The Devil’s Candy ahead of its release later this month. Written and directed by Sean Bean, The Devil’s Candy centers on a struggling family. Jesse (Ethan Embry), an artist and hardcore metalhead, moves with his wife (Shiri Appleby) and daughter (Kiara Glasco) to a middle-of-nowhere Texas town, unaware that the new house has a grisly past. Disturbing demonic activity culminates with the appearance of Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), the home’s former resident, who is there to do the Devil’s bidding. The soundtrack for the film includes bands like Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and a badass original score by Sunn O))). Keith and Jess Calder will produce. From The Producers Of ‘Blair Witch’ Comes The Brutal Thriller ‘The Devil’s Candy’

From Keith and Jess Calder, the producers of ‘You’re Next’ and ‘Blair Witch’, ‘comes ‘The Devil’s Candy‘, written and directed by Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones). The intense thriller debuted at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2015. Besides being extremely well received, this brutal film currently holds a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which is pretty impressive. Ethan Embry (Late Phases, The Guest) stars as a struggling artist and metalhead. He, his wife (Shiri Appleby) and their daughter (Kiara Glasco) move into a new home in rural Texas with a grisly past. When Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), the previous home owner, arrives the family is plunged into chaos and danger. ‘The Devil’s Candy’ has a killer soundtrack. It includes tracks from bands such as Pantera, Metallica, and Slayer. The original score was created by the experimental Sunn O))), EW reports. The Devil’s Candy Gets A Sweet New Poster And A Distribution Deal

IFC Midnight has acquired the North American rights to ‘The Devil’s Candy’, from writer-director Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones). The haunted house film, which premiered at last year’s Toronto’s International Film Festival (TIFF), stars Ethan Embry (Late Phases), Shiri Appleby (Roswell), Kiara Glasco (Hemlock Grove) and Pruitt Taylor Vaince (Constantine). From the Press Release: IFC Midnight has acquired North American rights to Sean Byrne’s THE DEVIL’S CANDY. The film, written and directed by Byrne, stars Ethan Embry, Shiri Appleby, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Kiara Glasco. It was produced by Keith Calder and Jessica Calder for Snoot Entertainment LLC. The film made its world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, and IFC Midnight will release it in March 2017.
