From Keith and Jess Calder, the producers of ‘You’re Next’ and ‘Blair Witch’, ‘comes ‘The Devil’s Candy‘, written and directed by Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones). The intense thriller debuted at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2015. Besides being extremely well received, this brutal film currently holds a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which is pretty impressive.
Ethan Embry (Late Phases, The Guest) stars as a struggling artist and metalhead. He, his wife (Shiri Appleby) and their daughter (Kiara Glasco) move into a new home in rural Texas with a grisly past. When Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), the previous home owner, arrives the family is plunged into chaos and danger.
‘The Devil’s Candy’ has a killer soundtrack. It includes tracks from bands such as Pantera, Metallica, and Slayer. The original score was created by the experimental Sunn O))), EW reports.
On March 17th ‘The Devil’s Candy’ will arrive in select theaters, on VOD and Digital HD from IFC Midnight. This is not a film you want to miss!
