Movie Review: Exorcism at 60,000 Feet (2019)

Father Romero (Robert Miano) is a priest with a knack for performing lead-based exorcisms, in that he blows holes in the possessed with his pistol. After one such incident, our petulant padre hops on a plane (piloted by the legendary Lance Henriksen as Captain Houdee) headed down Vietnam way. Well, it turns out that our hero could have boarded a rocket to the sun and it wouldn’t have stopped evil from taggin’ along for the revoltin’ ride, as soon lightning strikes and folks are becoming all possessed-like six ways to Sunday! It’s tight quarters for a battle with unspeakable evil, so how many of those passengers will stick the landing is forever in doubt! Now look, this isn’t Airplane! by any means, but Exorcism at 60,000 Feet has plenty of fun to offer while treading similar ground. This is a send up of ’70s disaster movies, and possession flicks (also a huge part of ’70s genre cinema), and the end

Blu-ray Review: Man’s Best Friend (1993)

News reporter/animal rights advocate Lori Tanner (Ally Sheedy), who’s shoulder pads could be considered a character of their own, decides to take home (read: steal) a massive dog named Max from Ye Olde Animal Test Labbe run by your (not) so friendly neighborhood mad scientist Dr. Jarret (the legendary Lance Henriksen). Really, what could go wrong there? Sure that pooch could be riddled with Mega-A.I.D.S., or some other horrendous disease, but not to worry; the fact he’s comprised of the genetic material of all sorts of dangerous animals will ensure that most who cross his path will end up torn to pieces long before any disease sets in (owing to the fact he begins to rapidly turn into a four-legged lunatic if he’s away from the lab and his meds). Will Lori become a victim of her own good deed or will the powers that be “hound” ol’ Max until he’s neutralized? I could talk about how this film is

While most of the property is gorgeous A.F., there just so happens to be an abandoned WWII bunker on the property. Flying in the face of common sense, the firm’s agent and their island guides head on in to map out this foreboding structure…and guess what? The entire area is cursed for all time, our protagonists become trapped within and an ancient evil must be faced! As always, let’s take a look at what works with Gehenna: Where Death Lives. First up, the locations and environments are utilized well, with the natural beauty of Saipan (the island where the film was lensed) contrasting nicely with the claustrophobic confines of the sets used to
