Trailer And Premiere Date For Adult Swim’s New Twisted Series “JJ Villard’s Fary Tales”

Adult Swim has unleashed the trailer for its new twisted series “JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales” today ahead of its May premiere on the network that also gave us “Rick and Morty.” The series is a new, twisted, fun take on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White. The charm and cuteness of the original stories remain, but now they’ve been updated and packaged into a ball of raw, visceral, gross weirdness. The animated quarter-hour series is created, and executive produced by Emmy award-winning animator JJ Villard (“King Star King”) and produced is by Cartoon Network Studios. Voice talent this season includes Linda Blair, Warwick Davis, Robert Englund, Corey Feldman, Alan Oppenheimer, Jennifer Tilly, and Villard himself among others. Tune in for the series premiere on Sunday, May 10th at 12:15 AM (Sunday night leading into Monday).

Blu-ray Review: Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)

You know how you release one of the most successful and iconic horror films of all time, sit around four years and snort a mountain of blow and say “Shit, we really should make a sequel to this thing…but I’ve never been a fan of screenplays or logic…aaaand action!”? Yeah, me either, but I’d bet demons to doughnuts that is pretty damn close to how Exorcist II: The Heretic came to be. We pick up the narrative with a now teen-age Regan (Linda Blair) seeing a new-age shrink on the regular, and it is at one such appointment that she says she has almost zero recollection of the events of the first film (which also mirrors the filmmakers as well). Meanwhile priest Philip Lamont (Richard Burton) is assigned to investigate the death of Father Merrin (Max Von Sydow) after the events of Regan’s exorcism. Soon their path’s cross and Lamont sits in on Regan’s sesh with her shrink’s happy helmet

The 25 Best Women Of Horror (My Opinion)

February is Women of Horror month! These ladies screamed their way into our hearts on the big and little screens and charmed us by their performance that stood the test of time (or will). Many people have their opinions on the best and memorable women of horror, well this is my list and my opinion, I hope you agree for my reasons so without further ado, here’s my list of the 25 best women of horror in no particular order! Sigourney Weaver She has earned the title of ‘Queen of Sci-fi’ due to most of her outstanding performances can be seen in many sci-fi movies but she’s also started in many legendary horror movies. She’s best known for her character Ellen Ripley in the Alien franchise. She’s also known for her role a Bill Murray’s squeeze in the Ghostbusters films. She’s on the list because even though she’s a woman in a horror movie, she takes charge of situations and

Movie Review: Hell Night is One Hellacious Slasher Flick!

Hell Night isn’t on the screen more than two seconds before we get a wet t-shirt contest…and awaaaay we go! Truth be told, the aforementioned contest is part of a larger tableau presenting the many faceted jewel that is “teen partying”…and by “teen” I mean people that appear to be pushing thirty. Anyway, what’s with all the celebrating? Because it’s Hell Night; a night dedicated to hazing new fraternity pledges…and what does the brain trust in charge of such things offer up as a suitable challenge to endure? Why, making the pledges spend the night in a haunted house… what the fuck is this, a Bowery Boys short? Of course , the fraternity brothers have set up a myriad of cheap (and improbably elaborate) scares to screw our heroes over…but soon they are murdered by someone or something lurking the grounds of the arcane abode…and you just know it won’t be long before that murderous madman is playin’ the ol’

Days Of The Dead: Indianapolis – They Came, We Saw, And It Kicked Ass

So here we are my Little Monsters, Days of the Dead: Indianapolis has been over for a full week and that post convention depression is still lingering, but at least I have completely recuperated from the festivities . The horror community tends to feel like a big family to me, and horror cons are like a huge family reunion of sorts. And even though I have been to many comic and pop culture conventions, horror cons are where I feel most at home. While I, as many of you do, enjoy films across all genres, horror is without a doubt my favorite of them all. For three days I got to spend time with my convention family, and now all I am left with, besides autographs and some other cool things I snagged, are the pictures I took and the memories. But they are some pretty damn cool pics memories, I must say. Attending Days of the Dead gave me

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Linda Blair

Well, my Little Monsters, we are at that point in the week where we make that downhill run towards the weekend. Now I had another actress originally slated to be highlighted today, but I made a calculated decision to focus on Linda Blair due to an event that’s happening this weekend. In two days Days of the Dead is descending on Indianapolis for three days of horror related festivities, and Linda was very recently confirmed to be in attendance as one of many media guests. With that in mind I felt it appropriate to go ahead and highlight this particular wonderful Woman of Horror, that I would have undoubtedly have written about eventually. So without further ado, I give you Miss Linda Blair. Linda was the baby in her family, being the youngest of three children. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but would grow up in Westport, Connecticut. Linda’s career kicked off at the tender age of five,

‘Women In Horror Month’ Spotlight: Linda Blair

Many of you recognize the name Linda Blair because of her role in the 1973 horror classic ‘The Exorcist’. No one can deny that, even as such a young girl, Linda Blair played the role of the decade. I still can’t watch ‘The Exorcist’ alone at night. That movie is so intense and brilliant and her role as Regan was just incredible. Though Mrs. Blair has had a long history in film and been in many movies, 71 of them to be exact, her role as Regan will forever give her a place in the horror history. Mrs. Blair is still involved in entertainment, but her heart is in her charity ‘Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation’. Mrs. Blair actively speaks out on animal welfare as well as actively helping to find the dogs a forever home, which makes me respect her even more. Linda Blair we salute you ! ‘The Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation’ https://www.lindablairworldheart.org/
