First Official Trailer Unveiled For Haunted House Film ‘Winchester’ – Inspired By True Events

The official poster and teaser trailer have been unveiled for ‘Winchester’ and teases the darkness of the real-life inspired tale of Sarah Winchester. Winchester, written and directed by Micheal and Peter Spierig, follows the story of firearm heiress Sarah Winchester played by Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren. Sarah was convinced that she was haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester Repeating Rifle. “On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits the most haunted house in the world. Built by Sarah Winchester (Mirren), heiress to the Winchester fortune, it is a house that knows no end. Constructed in an incessant twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week mania for decades, it stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. To the outsider, it looks like a monstrous monument to a disturbed woman’s madness. But Sarah is not building for herself, for her niece (Sarah Snook) or for the brilliant Doctor Eric

A First Look At Helen Mirren In The Real Life Inspired Supernatural Film WINCHESTER

Last May, we reported that Oscar winning actres Helen Mirren had signed on to star as Sarah Winchester in the upcoming real-life inspired supernatural thriller Winchester. Today, we get a first look at Mirren in the film, directed by Micheal and Peter Spierig, based on their own script. Today, word has come via Fangoria that the 8th film in the franchise has found its director(s). Australian brothers Michael and Peter Spierig have signed on to fill the director’s chairs. The Spierig brothers directed 2010’s vampire film Daybreakers, starring Ethan Hawke. They are also directing the upcoming film based on The Winchester Mystery House. The film has another brother duo, Josh and Pete Goldfinger (Piranha 3D), penning the script for Legacy.
