Paul Bateson: The Serial Killer Who Starred In ‘The Exorcist’

Did you know that a real-life serial killer starred in The Exorcist? In 1972, director William Friedkin saw Paul Bateson perform a cerebral angiography in the New York University radiology lab. Wanting to keep things as real as possible, when Friedkin was making The Exorcist the next year, he arranged for the same procedure to be filmed in a hospital by real doctors and technicians. Friedkin was impressed by the way Bateson performed the real procedure the year before and invited him to be included in the scene as a radiographer not knowing of his crimes. Born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, he was the son of a metallurgist. In the early 60s, he joined the Army and became an alcoholic while serving in Germany. “No One Saw A Thing”: The Town Of Skidmore Missouri And Ken Rex

If you have not heard of the town of Skidmore Missouri you are not alone. If you have heard of this tiny little dot on a map, it is probably because of the events disclosed in the documentary “No One Saw A Thing” (2019). I watched the Sundance Documentary this past weekend and while this is not going to be a review of the six-part documentary, I do recommend it. Instead of a review, I wanted instead to give details of the documentary because it is a town rife with tragedy, violence, and a Freddy Krueger-like curse. Each event on its own would be worth an article (or documentary), but for all of these things to have happened in a town of between 200-300 people is absolutely astounding. Horror Actress Arrested For Murder One Day After Movie Wraps Filming

Aisling Tucker Moore-Redd, who goes by Wyn Reed, stars as the lead role of Valerie in the upcoming horror film From the Dark. Just one day after the film wrapped the journalist turned actress was charged with a real-life murder. During the five months of filming, investigators obtained cellphone footage of Moore-Reed that she recorded as she shot her uncle, Shane Patrick Moore, 63, in 2016, according to reports. She now faces murder charges and is being held without bail. The New York Post reports that the filmmakers say they had no idea that she was facing charges in Jackson County, Oregon where she had claimed self-defense. Siskiyou Productions say they are now “struggling” on how to handle the film’s release, set for January. Bianca Devins’s Death Taken Over By Misinformation And Trolls

Yesterday around 7:30 AM EST users of Discord were horrified to see posts of their favorite rising star sitting in a car seat covered in blood from a slash on her throat. The young woman was later identified as 17-year-old Bianca Devins, a rising social media star on the website Instagram. As soon as the news broke of her death, so did the floodgates of the internet court of public opinion where a deep divide was established and sides picked. The tragedy of this incident is only made worse by the fact that the grisly images of Devins’s body are still circulating around Instagram and 4Chan by trolls and disturbingly angry individuals who applaud her death.
