Documentary ‘An Unkown Compelling Force’ Delves Into The Infamous Dyatlov Pass Incident

The Dyatlov Pass Incident has long been a mystery. Now, 1091 Pictures has acquired the highly-anticipated documentary An Unkown Compelling Force that will delve into the strange event in hopes of shedding light on the mystery. Directed by Liam Le Guillou, An Unknown Compelling Force examines the controversial true story of the Dyatlov Pass Incident, known as Russia’s greatest unsolved mystery, an unexplained event that led to the gruesome death of nine student hikers in Russia’s unforgiving Ural Mountains in 1959. For more than 60 years the story has been shrouded in mystery and conspiracy theories, suggesting everything from UFOs, murder to a Soviet Government cover-up. On a journey to separate fact from fiction, adventure filmmaker Liam Le Guillou travels under the radar to the very location of the incident to attempt to uncover the true story, interviewing Russian investigators, journalists, and friends of the hikers, among others. The most recent investigation was closed in February 2021 (The New York

Tourists Reported Missing At Infamous Dyatlov Pass

It was reported on February 10th that eight tourists from Moscow have failed to return from their visit to the infamous Dyatlov Pass a part of the Ural Mountain region. The tourists were said to have gone to the region to pay their respects to the group of nine college students who died under mysterious circumstances in February 1959 that sparked many theories as to what caused their deaths. The vanishing of the tourists comes a month after scientists believed to have solved the mystery and concluded that the students and experienced hikers were victims of a slab avalanche that was caused by the students cutting into the snow on a side of a hill that eventually, due to winds and snowfall, gave way and slid onto the tent catching the students by surprise and causing (internal) trauma to some of them that eventually proved fatal, and causing them to become stranded in freezing temperatures that ultimately took their lives.

DVD Review: Evil Boy (2019)

Igor (Vladimir Vdovichenkov) and Polina (Elena Lyadova) have lost their son Vanya (Sevastian Bugaev), and three years later decide to adopt. Off they trot to a rural Gothic mansion of an orphanage and while there discover a dead groundskeeper and a feral child (Sevastian Bugaev, in a dual role) locked in the basement. Well, that lil’ hellion bonds with Polina, and soon they are the proud parents of a completely uncontrollable maniac… well Polina is thrilled anyway. Blu-ray Review: Why Don’t You Just Die! (2018)

Matvey (Aleksander Kuznetsov) is dating aspiring actress Olya (Evgeniya Kregzhde), and holy fuck does she have some Kong-sized daddy issues… like she wants the Ben Grimm lookin’ mother fucker named Andrey (Vitaliy Khaev) to take a permanent dirt nap for the rather unpleasant crimes he allegedly committed against her when she was young. While the claims of Olya are suspect at best, ol’ Andrey is guilty of plenty of other crimes… crimes made easy given his status as a cop… a cop with an equally corrupt partner… and the duo have a wild hair up their collective asses about some dough they were screwed out of. So over comes ol’ Romeo Matvey with a hammer to kill Big A in his own apartment… small problem, Andrey is near indestructible, and Matvey seems to be as well… what follows is an explosive blast of cartoony, unbelievably violent, and oft times bloody confrontations within the small apartment that hasn’t been seen on

Movie Review: A Rough Draft (2018)

Look, there’s a shit ton of alternate dimensions out there, and our dude Kiril Maksimov (Nikita Volkov) is in charge of customs to those travelling between universes, although truth be told he misses his life on Earth. It wouldn’t do him much good to go back though as the former shit-hot game designer has had all traces of his existence expunged from those that knew him, and if he ever did venture back he’d be in hot water as the powers that be that control his new position have made sure to frame him for murder on as well. Among all the multiverses (that run the gamut from beachfront paradises to grim gulags), there is one where access is denied (due to revolutionaries looking to create a coup); Arkan, a place a few steps ahead of our own, and a potential learning tool to fix Earth’s various fuck-ups. Naturally Maksimov’s shadow bosses want “in” to Arkan, and soon task our

Blu-ray Review: Viy (1967)

At the end of a day of extreme assing around, young monk Khoma (Leonid Kuravlyov) gets lost on his way back to the monastery and seeks shelter at the abode of an outrageously old crone. After being lodged in the barn and acting like a prize-winning douche, the crone, in truth a witch, takes our hero for a flight around the Russian countryside and gets severely beaten by the mad monk for her troubles… she also turns hot A.F. A short time later, Khoma is summoned to a Cossack’s home to stand vigil over his daughter as per her dying wish… and just guess who that daughter is? I’ll just tell ya before you lot answer something like “yellow” or “gorilla”… it’s the witch (still in her babe form). So the long and the short of it is, Khoma must watch over the witch’s coffin for three days… which would be hella easy if not for the fact that she

2 ½ Minutes To Midnight

The famed “Doomsday Clock” is ticking ever so close to the infamous “Midnight” where the complete annihilation of mankind would occur. The figurative clock was created in 1947 after the world saw the results of the two nuclear bombings in Japan that ended the Second World War. The clock was set up as a sort of reminder to the public around the world to make people aware of factors that could possibly bring about a nuclear holocaust. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists released a statement Wednesday announcing the movement of the clock’s hands stating that this was the first time the clock has been this close to Midnight since 1953 after both the United States and the Soviet Union tested their nuclear weapons ushering in the Cold War and ticking the clock to 2 minutes to midnight. Other destructive factors contribute to why the clock ticks ever so closer. One of the factors this time around is Earth’s rising
