Blu-ray Review: Sink Your Teeth Into ‘Deep Blue Seas 3’

The first time that I saw the trailer for Deep Blue Sea 3, I was beyond excited, I’m a sucker for anything that involves sharks. But deep down there was a lingering fear that it would just be another cheesy creature feature. Thankfully, it has real substance. Let’s talk about it. Deep Blue Sea 3 centers on Marine Biologist Emma Collins and her team who are on a mission to study the ocean’s greatest predators. Using a man-made island as their base, Emma and the team’s study is interrupted by her old flame who needs their help catching a shiver of genetically enhanced smart sharks. The majestic creatures are the least of their worries when a man proves that humans are the real animals. Tania Raymonde stars as Emma. She brings a realness to the character. Instagram Model Attacked By Shark? Not really.

WARNING: Some may find the following images disturbing. With “Shark Week” approaching, heads will be filled with images of vicious sharks that lie in wait in the oceans to just attack humans and people who are not experts or are educated will interject falsely as we now see in a Buzzfeed article about 19-year-old Instagram model Katarina Zarutskie who says she was “attacked” by a shark while trying to pose for a picture. Zarutskie was vacationing in the Bahamas with her boyfriend and family and took many opportunities to snap pictures of her enjoying the beach. Then the ultimate opportunity arrived when the vacationers came upon a school of Nurse Sharks whose “docile” behavior make them attractions for swimmers in the Bahamas who want to swim with sharks. Zarutskie floated motionless on her back as her boyfriend took the pictures but soon afterward, one nurse shark bites her and pulls her under the water. To Katarina’s credit, she remained calm

New Novel ‘Devil Sharks’ To Be Released

Sharks are a hot item right now. With yet another addition to the wonderful world of ‘Sharknado’ and ‘The Meg’ coming out, Chris Jameson is releasing a similarly themed novel entitled ‘Devil Sharks’. This will be Jameson’s second shark-themed novel and promises to be fantastic! “When Alex Simmons is invited to a college reunion in the Hawaiian islands aboard the private yacht of his old pal Harry Curtis, he is not sure what to expect. The two men had a falling-out years ago over the suicide of one of their friends. Could this be Harry’s way of making amends? Or is something more sinister in store? The crew sets sail and arrives at Orchid Atoll, the site of a deserted former Coast Guard station. But they are far from alone. Short Film Review: Shower Sharks (2018)

A shark obsessed dude attempts to write a screenplay as a shark (I predict I’m going to be writing that word a lot in this review) doc plays on the boob tube. Before long a news bulletin interrupts the show warning of a plague of shower sharks…sharks that emerge from drains to menace the populace…and you can guess what happens next! Shower Sharks gives the viewer exactly what you would expect; an absurd and enjoyable bite sized bit of nonsense in the Troma style. Film maker (and lead actor)Noah “Shark” Robertson has a keen eye (two in fact) for delivering off-the-wall horror comedy, and you can tell he has a ton of passion and heart. As for any negatives to be found here (and this isn’t really a “bad” thing…more of an observation of something that stood out); I’m fairly certain that Robertson just filmed an actual EMT call guerrilla style for the film’s coda…this is some real Corman level
