Movie Review: Rabid (2019)

Rose (Laura Vandervoort) is having a shitty go at life lately; she’s the odd one out in the fashion biz she toils away in, she’s the pity project of her one friend in the world, Chelsea (Hanneke Talbot), and before too long half of her freakin’ face is scraped off in a moped accident (not really the vehicle that comes to mind when I think of horrible, life-altering, trauma, but here we are… to be fair there were cars involved on the periphery). She also gets fired, you know, just to piss directly on the raw, festering wound that is Rose’s soul. Not content to live a life destined to haunting Parisian (or Toronto in this case) opera houses, or cosplaying as Darkman, our heroine opts to undergo a radical gene splicing therapy to fix her busted chops. The Soska Sisters’ Remake Of ‘Rabid’ Set to Begin Production

We last updated you on the Soska Sisters’, Jen and Sylvia, remake of David Cronenberg’s film Rabid back in April of this year. There has been no word since, until now. THR is reporting that A71 Entertainment has snagged the Canadian rights to the remake which is set to begin production next year. Paul Lalonde, Michael Walker, and Back 40 Pictures’ John Vidette are producing. We are very honored to have been the team chosen to take on the remake of Cronenberg’s Rabid. Back in February of last year we reported that the Soska sisters, Jen and Sylvia, will be directing the remake of David Cronenberg’s 1977 film Rabid. There hasn’t been any news since, until now. The writing-directing sister team, also known as the “Twisted Twins”, let a lit info slip about their approach to the making the film while talking to The Horror Channel. As we all know, my Little Monsters, February only has 28 days or 29 when we happen to be in a leap year. And while Women in Horror Month officially ended yesterday, I’m going to buck the trend and add one more day…Just because I feel like it. Frankly I believe that the talented women in horror, or women in general for that matter, should be recognized and celebrated EVERY day of every month. The Soska Sisters’ New Movie ‘Vendetta’

The beautiful and brilliant Soska Sisters, Jen and Sylvia, are back with a new film titled ‘Vendetta’, written by Justin Shady. The Soska Sisters are writers, directors, producers and actresses. They have had a lot of success in the entertainment business. ‘American Mary’ and ‘See No Evil 2’ are just two of the movies by the sisters. They are also working on another project titled ‘Painkiller Jane’. Vendetta is an action thriller that follows the story of a detective Mason (Dean Cain) who will stop at nothing to get revenge against the man who murdered his wife . “Women In Horror Month” Spotlight: The Soska Sisters

Jen and Sylvia Soska are the two hottest women in horror. The duo are making big waves in the horror world. The lovey ladies have acted in, written and directed several great projects . ‘See No Evil 2’ and ‘The ABC’s Of Death 2’ are just two of their latest films. 2012’s ‘American Mary’ is my personal favorite. The identical twins fell in love with horror at an early age. They both decided to go into the film industry as actresses but wanted more. The twisted twins decided to make a movie. They invested their own money and made ‘Dead Hooker In A Trunk’ with the help of Robert Rodriguez’s book ‘Rebel Without A Crew’. The movie was released in 2009 . Since then, the Soska sisters have been a force to be reckoned with. Jen and Sylvia are not just filmmakers. They are both outspoken when it come to equal rights for everyone, they’re animal lovers and amazing women.
