The Second Season Of ‘The Exorcist’ Will Be Here Soon !

A few months ago we were extremely happy to report that ‘The Exorcist’ would be getting a second season after all. Now, we know a premiere date, thanks to the official Facebook Page for the series. Amazingly, it won’t be long before the next chapter of the story is revealed. Grab a bible and some holy water, the second season of ‘The Exorcist’ will premiere on September 29, 2017. During a conversation with Bloody Disgusting back late last year the series’ creator and showrunner Jeremy Slater had this to say about what the second season might bring: A potential season two would find Marcus, Tomas and Bennett tasked with helping a new family or a new case of possession. That doesn’t mean we’ll never see any of the Rances again, but I think the fans would feel disappointed and cheated if we simply brought Captain Howdy back for round three. The Rances have escaped this legacy of terror–for the time

Slater told fans last year that he wanted to feature the priests teaming up to help a new family. Fox’s Series ‘The Exorcist’ Possesses A New Trailer

At first I had serious doubts about Fox’s upcoming series ‘The Exorcist’. But after a series of images, promos and trailers were released I have I think I might have been wrong to jump to a conclusion. I have to say that I am intrigued. I’ll be watching. Speaking of trailers, Fox has just released a brand new trailer and we happen to have it for you. The first thing you need to know is that the series is not a reboot of the brilliant 1973 film directed by William Friedkin. The series is set 40 years after the events in the original film. The show will however give the occasional nod to the film, including the use of Mike Oldfield’s “Tubular Bells”. The Rance family, members of Father Ortega’s parish, appear to be a normal suburban family, but are not what they seem. Henry Rancy (Alan Ruck) is losing his mind, and his wife Angela (Geena Davis) is suffering

If you watch the pilot, you’ll see that we have some…homages to some of the famous moments [from the film]. You’ll see there’s a scene where they reference the original exorcisms in Georgetown.” Slater told EW in July. “That’s our way of letting fans know that the story you love isn’t being written out of existence.
