From the Creator Of Final Destination Comes ‘The Call’ – Out This Halloween

“Four Friends. One Phone Call. 60 Seconds to Stay Alive. In the fall of 1987, a group of small-town friends must survive the night in the home of a sinister couple after a tragic accident occurs in The Call. Needing only to make a single phone call, the request seems rather simple until they realize that this call could change their life…or end it.” Led by horror icons Lin Shaye (Insidious franchise, Ouija) and Tobin Bell (Saw, Jigsaw), The Call has been a hit with both audiences and critics alike. In addition to the strong performances from the cast, the film benefited from the uncompromising direction of Timothy Woodward Jr. and the fear-inducing vision of Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick whose film Don’t Look Back (review) has also just been released. After a successful nationwide theatrical and drive-in run, The Call premieres on October 30th on Premium VOD and Digital platforms.

Movie Review: Come Play

When Oliver, a young boy, reads a story online about misunderstood monsters he has no idea that is about to unleash a monster, putting himself and his parents in the path of a relentless entity hellbent on dragging Oliver back to his world. Being autistic and no-verbal (he doesn’t talk) has left Oliver with no friends and with a mother who struggles to cope with the situation. The monster in this film is drawn to the boy because of his loneliness. Making the situation both sad and frightening. While yes, Come Play is a horror film, it’s also much more. It’s about one family’s struggle to cope with autism. I guess it affected me more than it will some others. You see, I have an autistic nephew who is precious. He was non-verbal for years and the thought that something or someone could get to him through his loneliness scares the hell out of me as does the thought that

This October, take a trip to the most terrifying place you’ve never heard of, Lake Artifact. In the film, “Five friends pick up a drifter on their way to a cabin in Upstate New York for a three day weekend. Upon arrival they discover a picture of themselves posing at the cabin, which they’ve never been to; Time and space begin to function without rhyme or reason, slowly turning them against each other.” “We were at an Airbnb and there were all these pictures hanging on the walls. We jokingly wondered ‘what if we saw ourselves in one of these photos’. After a few hours, the joke became more serious, and we started tossing around ideas about what that could mean if we really did discover that photo. Are we in a time loop? Are we dead? Do we have doppelgangers? The directions we could go were really exciting.” “I thought it would be interesting to try to combine my
