Movie Review: Nail in the Coffin: The Fall and Rise of Vampiro (2019)

Ian Richard Hodgkinson, or Vampiro as he’s known to you cats n’ creeps, is one hell of a dude. Born in Montreal, Canada, Vampiro got it in his head (after a few mishaps we’ll get to in a bit) to head to Mexico, learn Spanish, and even though he had no clue how to wrestle, become one of the most legendary figures to ever step into the squared circle south of the boarder. Now there is conflict and drama involved, but this doc let’s you know from the get go that things turned out pretty damn good for our vicious vamp as it shows him in his current role of talent director for Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico and Lucha Underground in Los Angeles. But, as stated things are still complicated for our hero as he is working two jobs, while trying to be a good father to his teenage daughter who lives in Ontario. It’s this element that brings

Top 10 Scariest Wrestlers

Wrestlmania is today! Whether you are a wrestling fan or used to be a wrestling fan or want to be a wrestling fan or can’t stand the sight of a wrestling ring…you have heard of Wrestlemania. Today, in New Orleans, is the 34th Wrestlemania and it promises many great matches and entertainment. That being said, if you truly care about wrestling, you already know that; therefore, I will get to my point. I thought that it would be appropriate today to do my first list for horrorfuel…are you ready…NO! I said ARE YOU REAAAADY!!!??? (Sorry….wrestling joke). Here we go, my top 10 creepiest/scariest wrestlers: 1 – Doink the Clown Doink is now a nostalgia act (not the last time I am going to use that term in this list). He is a goofy, balloon animal-making, silly, laughing spot in nostalgia shows thrown out there for kids to get excited. But back in the day, Doink wasn’t laughing…he was cackling and

New Horror Wrestling Movie PARTS UNKNOWN Enters The Ring

Wrestling and horror goes together like peanut-butter and chocolate (or for a more morbid example, like horny camp counselors and machetes.) Elaborate origin stories, crazy costumes, and of course all the bone rattling, chair swinging, ladder elbow dropping violence you can handle. Suffice to say when word got round of new wrestling horror movie “PARTS UNKOWN” I got excited. Currently in post production, the film from “GILGAMESH” director Richard Chandler is scheduled to drop this spring. Released by the Boston Film Family, a Massachusetts based production company who specializes in grind house releases, the film will feature Chandler’s “signature use of unusual characters, bizarre scenarios, and stylized violence.” I’m not personally familiar with Chandler’s work, but the man certainly has moxy. Wrestling saw something of an uptick in 2017 with the release of Netflix series “GLOW”, and a horror film starring sexy badass ladies in spandex might be just the thing to capitalize on the resurgence. With the film releasing
