While ‘The Wizard of Oz’ has been adapted and remade several times, apparently Hollywood feels like it needs one more remake, as a horror film.
New Line Cinema is currently developing a horror version, written by Mike Van Waes, based on L. Frank Baum’s literary classic, according to THR.
While the world of Oz, filled with witches, flying monkeys, talking creatures and a twisted wizard, has always been a bit creepy in my opinion, it will be interesting to see it go full horror.
