Writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods are moving ahead with their next project following their huge hit A Quiet Place. Beck and Woods are hard at work adapting “The Boogeyman“, Stephen King’s short story which was featured as part of the “Night Shift” collection, Deadline reports.
Several short film adaptations have been made based on the tale, but this will mark its first time as a feature film. Just so we’re clear, this film will have nothing to do with The Boogeyman trilogy that began in 2005.
“The Boogeyman“ centers on a man who recently lost all his children to a creature in a closet.
20th Century Fox is now finalizing the deal. 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen are set to produce.
