Meteor Extinction, a sci-fi disaster thriller starring Daniel Baldwin, is out today. The feature, from the infamous B-movie studio The Asylum, sees a race against time to prevent a massive, world-ending space rock from obliterating Earth.

A Six-Mile Threat to Humanity

The movie centers on a catastrophic six-mile-wide meteor on a direct collision course with Earth’s atmosphere. Humanity has just six days before absolute annihilation. Standard planetary defense systems prove completely useless against the anomaly. The space rock is composed entirely of a rare element that turns into molten magma when heated. Confronted with an extinction-level event, Baldwin’s character realizes their only hope lies in reuniting the elite “React Team” to devise a last-ditch plan to keep the public safe. And to alter the trajectory of the apocalyptic threat.

High-Stakes Action in Deep Space

As shown in the intense trailer footage, the React Team attempts to break down the celestial threat using powerful orbital lasers known as “Sentinels.” However, the mission takes a disastrous turn when the strike fractures the meteor into three distinct rocks that continue hurtling toward Earth. With apocalyptic destruction already raining down across the globe and iconic landmarks reduced to rubble, a brave mother-daughter duo takes to space in a desperate final bid to shatter the meteors before impact.
