Hospitals are in desperate need of blood donations. On average there are 5,000,000 blood transfusions a year in the U.S. alone. Blood is a matter of life and death. In fact with out the donations made by some great people, my husband would not be here today. He was in a horrible accident and without the six blood transfusions he received, I would have lost him. Your donation can save a life! Be a hero and give blood, “after all, it’s in you to give”.
Donating blood is pretty simple. When you go to a blood drive they will put in an IV line and you kick back and relax until you’re done. Afterwards, they give you a cookie and who doesn’t want a cookie? Call your local red cross or go online and find out where you can donate. You can also visit https://unitedbloodservices.org to find a location near you.
