The details about the fifth movie of the ‘Phantasm’ franchise, and the first ‘Phantasm’ in sixteen years has finally entered post-production. Most of the details about the movie have been kept quiet up to now. ‘Phantasm: Ravager’ has been in the hands of accomplished director David Hartman. Hartman’s resume includes Rob Zombie’s ‘Lords of Salem’, ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ and ‘John Dies At The End’. ‘Phantasm’ was written by Hartman and ‘Phantasm’ legend Don Coscarelli. Hartman had this to say about the project.
“Having worked with Don before, and being a huge fan of the entire ‘Phantasm’ franchise, it was a great honor to do ‘Ravager’ with him. He continued, “This film is a real turning point in the series. There’s real closure for the core characters that I hope fans will respond to. “
Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister, and Michael Baldwin, all actors from the original film, have returned for ‘Ravager’. It’s always great when original cast members return for sequels. The plot details have been kept hush, hush. We do know that part of the movie will take place in “the Tall Man’s” home world.
The release date has yet to be announced but we do have the teaser trailer.
