ABC’s newest series is titled ‘The Whispers’. One of the show’s executive producers is none other than Steven Spielberg. The pilot, which premiers June 1st at 10:00 pm Eastern, was written by co-executive producer Soo Hugh, who also developed the series.
In ‘The Whispers’ someone or something has been convincing the children of Washington D.C. to play a series of very dangerous games. When the children are asked who is leading them, the children speak of their imaginary friend, Drill. The strange thing is, most of the children are not connected, so how is it that they all have to have the same imaginary friend, by the same name ? To help with the investigation Claire Bennigan, a F.B.I. child specialist, is called in to find answers, but Drill is much more than your average invisible friend. Benningan soon finds herself in a race to not only save the children, but the entire world.
The new series will stars ‘American Horror Story’s Lily Rabe as Claire Bennigan. ‘WWZ’ actor David Andrews, Jamison Jones (General Hospital), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Tom Butler (Freddy vs. Jason) star along side ‘Godzilla’s Catherine Lough Haggquist, Alison Arya (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and ‘Supernatural’ actress Jessie Fraser.
