‘Oculus’ writers Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard are set to pen the sequel to the 2013 paranormal horror ‘Ouija’, which Mike Flanagan directed.

‘Ouija’ follows five teenagers, who have used a Ouija board to reach out to their friends, who supposedly committed suicide. The group accidentally unleashes a vengeful spirit. ‘Ouija’ stars Oivia Cooke and Daren Kagasoff.
According to an article by Deadline, the sequel will have a plot that mirrors that of the first movie. ‘Ouija’ did not get rave reviews, so I can’t help but wonder why they would go with the same story twice. It is still early in preproduction, so the story may change. The director and cast have yet to be announced, but Michael Bay and Jason Blum of Blumhouse have already been listed as two of the sequel’s producers.
‘Ouija 2’ is set to be released October 21st of next year.
