A ‘Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse’

This October a new zombie movie titled ‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’ (also known as Scouts Vs. Zombies) will bring humor to the zombie genre. Christopher Landon, who also directed ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’, will be directing this movie about three Scouts who join forces with a bad-ass waitress to survive when their town is swarmed by zombies. ‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’ stars Patrick Shchwarzenegger, Tye Sheridan, Halston Sage, David Koechner and Jesica Ahlberg, among others. Zombies aren’t the only thing to fear in the zombie flick, the cast will also have to dodge crazy kitties. ‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’ will open in theaters on October 30.

An Interview With Writer, Director, Producer Harrison Smith Of Carolco Pictures

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Harrison Smith. Smith is a talented screen writer, director, producer and the head of Independent Genre Development at Carolco Production. KM “How did you get started in the film industry?” HS “I was ten when my uncle gave me a Super 8 camera, I made silent movies, I made a comedy series with my brother. Then I had a comedy cable show. ‘The Fields’ was my first real movie.” KM “How did ‘The Fields’ come to be?” HS “‘The Fields’ is based on what happened to me as a boy. My parents had a tumultuous relationship, so I spent a lot of time at my grandparent’s farm as a kid. The farmhouse was surrounded by corn fields that went on for miles. The events depicted in the film all started with a stick. I would play Godzilla with sticks and one day I heard something in the edge of the corn field. I

New Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 “Juggernog” Edition annouced

Look at that bad boy! “Call of Duty: Black ops 3” will be releasing this November and the one thing has got most people exciting (especially me!) is the latest in Treyarch’s long line of Zombie modes, starting back in 2008’s “Call of Duty: World At War” “Zombies” as the game mode has been dubbed started out as just putting 4 players in an enclosed area and had the surviving for as long as they could against an endless onslaught of zombies, thanks to it’s fun gameplay and creativity to the mode, “Zombies” became a main-stay and with every installment to the “Call of Duty” franchise developer studio “Treyarch” would come with “Zombie” mode. “Zombies” became so popular in the “Call of Duty” franchise that players demanded that they put it into last year’s “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” and Treyarch didn’t even develop it! Inversion by Charles Scott

Inversion by Charles Scott is a short story by up and coming writer Charles Scott. The book description offered only a slight insight into what the book might be about, so naturally I was curious. Book Description: A dark ritual begins a journey with no end in sight… The debut short story of author Charles Scott. Overall Review: 4.5/5 My only dislike about this story was the fact that it was so short. Granted, I realize that when something is presented as a “short story” that one shouldn’t go in expecting a tome, but I’m unaccustomed to seeing short stories offered in their own right on Amazon that are less than 10 pages in length. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed “Inversion”. Scott’s tone was delightfully dark and sinister, there was plenty of violent language/disgusting imagery to satisfy my diabolical, gorehound side, and the words were generally well chosen. This Trailer Gives Me ‘Goosebumps’

For most of us R.L. Stine’s ‘Goosebumps’ book series and tv series were our first introduction to horror. Soon a new ‘Goosbumps’ movie will be introducing a new generation of fans to the world of horror. This time the role of R.L. Stine will be played by funny man Jack Black. In the movie three kids , one who is the niece of Stine, team up when the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the sleepy town of Greendale, Maryland. Breaking News: Dark Horse Comics’ “Harrow County” TV Show In Development

It was announced on Tuesday that Dark Horse Comics and Universal Cable Productions have come to an agreement that would allow UCP a first-look deal to develop programming based on Dark Horse Comics’ properties. Among the projects currently in development are ‘Harrow County’, ‘Concrete’, ‘Back Up’, and ‘The Umbrella Academy’. Harrow County is a horror comic written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Tyler Crook. I have reviewed Issue #1 here and Issue #2 here.

Review: Dark Horse Comics’ ‘Harrow County #2’

I was so mesmerized by the first issue that I felt like I had been bewitched, not by Hester Beck, but by Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook. The two of them had so masterfully woven together this supernatural southern gothic tale that I was enthralled with it immediately. I just couldn’t put it down, and as you can imagine, I could hardly wait to pick up issue #2. The second issue begins right where the last one ended. Emmy has realized that the skin suit that she has encountered is a “haint”. She quicky decides to take it with her. She leaves the woods with the skin suit folded in her arms. She takes it home and places it in a dresser drawer, away from the the watchful eyes of her Pa. Emmy states that she also does this because the “haint” is still a boy whether it has eyes or not and she has to change out of her

Chad Archibald’s ‘Bite’ Gets New Poster

The new poster has been released for ‘Bite’, the new Indie horror from Chad Archibald. Breakthrough Entertainment is behind this twisted tale about Casey (Elma Begovic), a bride who is bitten by a mystery insect during her barchelorette getaway. After Casey flees with cold feet, she begins exhibiting insect like traits. She succumbs to her symptoms and begins to construct a hive where she lays her eggs and feeds on the flesh of others, but her transformation is far from complete. ‘Bite’ stars Caroline Palmer, who starred in Archibald’s film ‘The Drownsman’, along side Jordan Gray (A Mile in These Hooves), Lawrene Denkers (Eve), Denise Yuen (Diamond Day), Tianna Nori (The Demolisher) and John Migliore (Night of the Living Dead: Genesis). ‘Bite’ will be released later this year.
