‘EastEnders’ star Sam Strike will be playing Jackson (who grows up to become Leatherface).
‘The Conjuring’ actress Lili Taylor, has been cast in the role of ‘Verna’ Sawyer. Verna is the mother of the cannibalistic Sawyer family. 
The prequel will focus on Leatherface’s teenage years and will lead up to the the age that we saw him at in ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, when the movie was released in 1974 (played by Gunner Hansen) .
Stephen Dorff, who has stared in a wide range of films that includes ‘Blade’ (1998), ‘Immortals’ (2011) and 2003’s creepy psychological thriller ‘Cold Creek Manor’. Dorff will be playing the role of Texas Ranger, Hal Hartman, who is driven by the need for revenge.
Nicole Andrews, who stared in ‘We Bought a Zoo’. She also starred in 2013’s ‘Homefront’. Andrews has been cast in as ‘Tammy’.
Vanessa Grasse, Julian Kostov, James Bloor, Sam Coleman, Jessica Madsena and Lorina Kamburova fill out the cast list.
Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, who also directed the movie ‘Livide’, will be teaming up again to direct ‘Leatherface’, which is being released by Lionsgate, some time in 2016.
