Michael Rooker And Sam Strike Star In Amazon’s “The Dark Tower” Series

Two years after Idris Elba starred as the gunslinger Roland Deschain in The Dark Tower, based on the novels by Stephen King, the story is getting a series adaptation from Amazon with Sam Strike (Leatherface) set to star as Roland. The series, which is currently filming, has added “Walking Dead” actor Michael Rooker to the cast. According to Deadline, “The Dark Tower” will be “independent from the film and is meant to be a more faithful retelling of the book than the movie was.” I hear it will take place many years before the events depicted in the film, and will focus on Roland Deschain’s (Strike) origin story – how he first became a gunslinger and got his guns, his first conflict with the man in black, his first love and his first mission as a gunslinger.” Jasper Pääkkönen (BlacKKKlansman), Jarome Flynn (“Game of Thrones”), Ivan Kaye (“Vikings”), Ana Padrão (Cabaret Maxime), Abraham Popoola (Les Misérables), and Joana Ribeiro (The

Amazon Casts The Gunslinger And The Man In Black For Their ‘The Dark Tower’ Series

A while back we reported that Amazon had snagged the rights to adapt Stephen King’s The Dark Tower for a new series. Things have been quiet since, up until now. Amazon has now cast the series’ two most important characters, the Gunslinger and the Man in Black. Sam Strike who stars in NBC’s “Timeless” and played Jackson in Leatherface, will be playing the role of the Gunslinger aka Roland Deschain. Roland is the story’s protagonist who comes from a long line of Gunslingers, those who serve as peacekeepers. Jasper Paakkonen, star of “Vikings” and Spike Lee’s Oscar-winning film BlackkKlansman will portray the Man in Black also known as Marten Broadcloak and Randall Flagg, who eventually becomes Roland’s archnemesis throughout King’s books. “The Walking Dead’s” Glen Mazzara is set to serve as showrunner for the series that has nothing to do with the 2017 film starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey.

Movie Review: Monster Party (2018)

Dodge (Brandon Micheal Hall), Casper (Sean Strike) and Iris (Virginia Gardner) are small potatoes in the crime scene…just a trio o’ pals committing low-level burglaries and the like…but soon they set their eyes on a bigger prize. Ya see, C-dawg’s pops is in some serious shit with a loan shark to whom he owes ten large and the gang gets the neon light idea to pose as caterers and rob a rich AF family, The Dawsons by name, during a din-din shindig being held at their palatial estates while the family is occupied with the festivities at hand. The only problem? These Dawson characters are a weird lot. Patriarch Patrick (Julian McMahon) and son Elliot (Kian Lawley) are off-putting as balls, though to be fair at first glance mother Roxanne (Robin Tunney) and daughter Alexis (Erin Moriarty) are relatively normal. As for the party itself, it’s comprised of only male guests minus one female participant (who desperately asks our faux
