A little over a month ago, stunt woman Olivia Jackson, Milla Jovovich’s stunt double, had a terrible accident while filming a scene for the upcoming film’Resident Evil: The Final Chapter‘. During the scene the motorcycle Jackson was driving collided with a mechanical camera that malfunctioned. Her injuries were so severe that the doctors put her in a chemically induced coma.

The great news is, Jackson is now awake. She made a statement via LifeSavage.com about the extent of her injuries.

“2 weeks in a coma, brain bleed, brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed and degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavical, broken humerus, broken radius & ulna, with an open wound and a 7.5″ piece of bone missing, amputated thumb, torn fingers, 5 nerves torn out of the spinal cord…not my funnest day on set.”

It’s amazing that Jackson survived the accident and she faces a long road of healing ahead of her. Jackson has also worked on films such as ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ and ‘Dredd’.
