Bad news for ‘Twin Peaks’ fans, the new series will not be airing until 2017. The series already had one delay this year, when David Lynch and Showtime clashed over budget issues and other details of the series. The problem worked themselves out and Showtime agreed to nine-plus episodes directed by Lynch, according to IMDb there will be eighteen episodes.
The revival comes twenty-five years after the original series’ premiere. Dana Ashbrook, Sheryl Lee, Kyle MacLachlan, Kimmy Robertson, Lara Flynn Boyle , Piper Laurie, Ray Wise, Joan Chen, Madchen Amick and Sherilyn Fenn will be returning for the series. They will be joined by new cast members, including Amanda Seyfried.
