With all the news and the changes, the information surrounding Ridley Scott’s new film, Alien: Covenant, has gotten a bit confusing. Now, things seem to be back on track for the film.

In a recent interview with Screen Daily Scott stated that Noomi Repace will indeed be returning for her role as “Dr. Elizabeth Shaw”, even if it is only a “minor part”.

Alien: Covenant will be the first of a trilogy that will link back to the original 1979 film, Alien . In the film a ship, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. Alien: Covenant is set to land in theaters on October 6th, 2017.
