A seller, going by the name of “polak3“, has two unique items for sale on Ebay, the rights and all the 35mm prints of both Return of the Living Dead 4 and 5. That’s right, for the low price of $49,000 and $124 shipping, you could own the rights to one of the films. Keep in mind that Lionsgate will retain the distribution rights.
Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis follows a group of teenagers who, in an attempt to rescue their friend from an evil corporation, end up releasing a horde of zombies. Ellory Elkayem directed them film, which stars Aimee-Lynn Chadwick, Cory Hardrict, John Keefe and Jana Kramer.
Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave centers on a collage student, who has created a new drug called “Z”. The student sells the new drug on campus, inadvertently resurrecting the living dead, who wreak havoc at a rave on Halloween. Rave to the Grave was also directed by Ellroy Elkayem. The film stars much of the same cast as Necropolis.
The films, released in 2005, were low-budget sequels that premiered on SyFy. To say the films were not liked by most fans is an understatement, but owning a piece of horror history would be cool.
