The first official image from the sequel to 2013’s The Conjuring has been unveiled by Entertainment Weekly (below). In the sequel, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to England in 1977 to investigate the events surrounding the Enfield poltergeist, an entity that is plaguing the Hodgson family, single mother and her four children. The poltergeist has focused much of its attention on one of the young girls, Janet (Madison Wolfe).
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to star in The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, as their characters Ed and Lorraine Warren. The cast for the film also includes Frances O’Connor, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney, Simon McBurney and Franka Potente. James Wan returned to the directors chair for part two.Wan went so far as to even visit the location where the real events took place. The theatrical release of The Conjuring 2 has been slated for June 10, 2016.
