‘The Conjuring 3’ Will Be A “Different Beast”

The Conjuring universe is quickly becoming one of the largest the horror franchises we’ve ever seen and there’s no sign of it slowing. The original James Wan-directed film gave way to one sequel already, plus the Annabelle trilogy, The Nun, The Curse of La Llorona, and now, The Conjuring 3. In The Conjuring 3, Ed and Lorraine Warren will return for a new scare. Patrick Wilson, who stars as Ed, shed some light on the sequel recently during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The process [of making Conjuring 3] was fantastic, and it’s a much different feel,” Wilson stated. “It’s still the same bones; it’s still very much Ed and Lorraine. Again, we are pushing our characters to places they haven’t gone, but the film will be a really nice addition because it’s definitely a different beast. Pun intended.” The Conjuring 3 began production this past June in Atlanta with Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona) in the
