Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren in Annabelle Comes Home, opening in theaters later this month. Just weeks before its premiere, Wilson and Farmiga have already moved on to their next project, The Conjuring 3 which has just begun filming. The news was shared by Farmiga on Twitter (below).

Conjuring 3 will be a doozy,” Farmiga recently to EW.  “It will be big. So for me, visiting these characters [in Annabelle Comes Home], it’s like practicing your scales and doing a few arpeggios before having to dive deep into the next one. Because the next one is massive.”

This time around,  Michael Chaves, the man behind The Curse of La Llorona, will be in the director’s chair for The Conjuring 3, a movie centers on a man on trial for murder. He claims that when the crime took place he was possessed by a demon.

Producer James Wan recently said of the real-life case, “I think it’s the first time in America’s history where the defendant used possessions as a reason… as an excuse.”

The Conjuring 3 is set to be released in theaters nationwide on September 11, 2020.
