The Coronavirus has claimed another victim today, the next installment of The Conjuring franchise. Originally set to open in theaters this September, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It has been hit with a delay, and not just any delay, a big one. The movie will now arrive in theaters on June 4, 2021. Yes, you read that right, 2021.

Directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona), the film reveals “a chilling story of terror, murder, and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.”

Both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles as the Warrens. They will be joined by Ruairi O’Connor, Julian Hilliard, and Catherine Hook.
