Kevin Smith began his “True North Trilogy” with his disturbing 2014 film Tusk , where a man is transformed into a Walrus after answering an ad in hopes of interviewing its author. Now, the second film, Yoga Hosers, is set to premiere at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, which runs from January 21st to the 31st. The theatrical release has not been announced.
Yoga Hosers is a spin-off from Tusk. The film focuses on the two young female clerks in the gas station scene of Tusk, Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie (Lily-Rose Melody Depp and Harley Quinn Smith). The two young women are besties from Winnipeg who love yoga and live on their smart phones. But when the sophomores are invited to a senior party, the Colleens uncover an ancient evil buried beneath their Canadian convenience store.
Yoga Hosers also stars Justin Long, Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment, Tyler Posey, Genesis Rodriguez, Johnny Depp, Stan Lee, Jason Mewes, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler and an appearance by Smith himself.
Smith will continue his “True North Trilogy” with Moose Jaws.
