A&E’s new supernatural series, Damien, follows The Omen’s Damien Thorn (Bradley James) as an adult. The first season, consisting of ten episodes, will premier on A&E on March 7th, 2016. Bradley James, who played the role of Liv’s love interest in iZombie, will star along side Omid Abtahi (Argo), Megalyn Echikunwoke (The Following), David Meunier (Aquarius) and Barbara Hershey who played the role of Lorraine Lambert in Insidious: Chapter 2. Scott Wilson, who you may recognize as Hershel from the hit series The Walking Dead, also appears in Damien. Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) serves as both writer and executive producer for the series. Ross Fineman, who developed the series with Mazzara, also serves as executive producer though his company Fineman Entertainment.
The show will not only continue the story that began in The Omen, it will feature aspects of the original story, including footage from the 1976 film, tying everything together. It begins when Damien, an acclaimed war photographer, returns home after a terrifying event occurs in Syria. Flashbacks from Damien’s past and strange events lead him on a journey of self-discovery where he uncovers the truth of who he really is and must come to terms with being the anti-christ. In the latest trailer we learn that the devil has many names.
