The CW Has Ordered The Pilot For Transylvania

Back last year we reported that The CW had begun development of a new supernatural series titled Transylvania. The pilot for Transylvania has now been ordered. Hugh Sterbakov (Hell and Back) will both write the series and served as executive producer.

The CW is no stranger to horror based shows, they are already they already air several horror based series, including Supernatural, iZombie, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and the upcoming Friday the 13th series.

In Transylvania, set in 1880, a young woman searching for her missing father travels from New York to Transylvania, where she teams up with disgraced Scotland Yard detective. During their search they come in contact with many of the most famous classic monsters and villains in history.
