We reported last year that ABC Family, now known as Freeform, has a new 80s slasher series in the works, titled Dead Summer. We have news today (via Deadline) that Zelda Williams (Teen Wolf), Alberto Frezza (Charlie’s Angels), and Eli Goree (The 100) have joined the cast of Dead Summer, along side Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty), Paul Singer (Gotham) and Ronen Rubinstein (Orange Is the New Black).

The series centers on a the counselors of Camp Clearwater, a Midwestern summer camp. Clearwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens and soon the camp’s fun turns into a horrible nightmare.

Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, the series creators and executive producers, will direct the first episode. Dead Summer will begin production this March.
