We reported back in November that SyFy was planning an anthology series titled Channel Zero: Crystal Cove. News has come via Deadline that The Boy‘s Craig William Macneill has signed on to direct the first six episodes of the new series. The show is based on the popular Creepypasta tale by the same name. The six episodes will be written by Kris Straub (Mappy).
Channel One: Candle Cove follows one man’s obsessive retelling of a creepy children’s television show from the 80s – and his suspicion that the show might have influenced his disturbing childhood.
Hannibal‘s Nick Antosca penned the Channel Zero pilot and will serve as executive producer along side Max Landis (American Ultra). Season one will premiere this October, followed by a second untitled season in 2017.
