Penny Dreadful, one of the best shows on TV, is approaching its season 3 premiere. In the season’s first trailer we witness the show’s characters struggling to accept the darkness inside of themselves.
Season 3 both welcomes back original cast and introduces new stars. Eva Green returns as Vanessa, a woman plagued with possession and evil, but who fights against it with all of her heart . Ethan, played by Josh Hartnett, will continue to struggle with the beast he becomes. Timothy Dalton’s character Sir Malcolm must continue the hunt. Dorian and Lily (Reeve Carney and Billie Piper), continue to celebrate their semi-immortal status. Both Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his creature, played by Rory Kinnear, seek peace, but will it continue to be just beyond their grasp? Patti LuPone will be returning as a different character, Dr. Seward. The new cast members include: Wes Studi (Hell on Wheels) as a Native American with a connections to Ethan, Shazad Latif (The Second Best Exotic Merigold Hotel) will play Dr. Jekyll, Christian Camargo (Dexter) has been cast as Zoologist Dr, Alexander Sweet, Jessica Barden as Jusitne, and Perdita Weekshas has been cast as Catriona, a new friend to Dorian and Lily.
