It was bound to happen sometime, a filmmaker capitalized on one of the most used apps of this generation SnapChat. I viewed the first ever SnapChat horror film (short) last night. The short follows a young woman getting SnapChat messages of herself sleeping while she’s home alone.

From filmmaker Alex J Mann, whom’s known for shorts such as Gun, Uber Driver and Engagement written and directed this short based around being stalked by a killer though SnapChat. Mann is also the co-founder of Space Oddity Production Company a company focused on exploring the aspects of technology and culture.

Here’s what I think: 3 Seconds is definitely a horror short that makes sense for this generation (not sure revalent it’ll be in 5 years when Snapchat is phased out) I’m  interested  in how the director will [or even if he is] expands upon it, because as it stands now it’s a great short to watch, love the “who’s there aspect”, love the filming, must watch for this generation.

Watch it here (it got 400K views so far!)
