Jessica Rothe, co-star of MTV’s series Mary + Jane has been cast in the lead role of ‘Tree’ in Christopher Landon’s new horror film Half to Death. Fear the Walking Dead actor Israel Broussard is set to play the role of the best friend.
The film centers on a young woman who is trapped in a vicious cycle of death and must solve the mystery of who is trying to killer her and why before it’s too late.
Landon, who also wrote 2016’s Viral, Paranormal Activity II through V, and 2007’s Disturbia, will be directing from the script he co-wrote with Scott Lobdell, according to Variety. Half to Death will be produced by Jason Blum of Blumhouse. John Baldecchi and Angela Mancuso will serve as executive producers.
