Left reeling from the death of his young son, Parker finds himself languishing in grief. During this time his marriage becomes a shambles and finds bankruptcy looming on the not too distant horizon. Despite his trepidation he goes back to his job as a private investigator. Upon his return he is assigned to do a surveillance job.
Secreted away in a decrepit old apartment building, Parker finds the perfect spot to best observe the woman he’s been hired to watch. As he keeps a weather eye on his intended subject, he becomes privy to unusual occurrences in relation to her. He also becomes aware of a malevolent presence that resides within the building he’s in, one that poses a very real threat to him. Then again, perhaps his grief has started him on a rapid descent into madness.
Joseph Sims-Dennett directed this film based on a script that was co-written by Sims-Dennett and Josh Zammit.

Observance has already been available on DVD and Blu-ray since last month, but just this past weekend it became available on several Video On Demand services.
I have heard many words used when describing this film such as : sinister, unsettling, Lynch, Polanski, Rear Window, Hitchcock, chilling and confounding. Yet there is only one word to describe my thoughts about this move right now…INTRIGUED.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, I will definitely be giving this movie a look. And for those of you who also wish to check out Observance, it can now be viewed on the following VOD platforms – iTunes, Amazon Video, VUDU, VIMEO, Google/YouTube, XBox/MicrosoftMovies.
