It is time to return to Salem. The supernatural series will premiere this Wednesday on WGN. The season kicks off with the devil loose in Salem, inhabiting Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) and John Alden’s son. Mary is dead, but when it comes to witches, death is not always final. John Alden (Shane West) is on a mission to try to save his son and protect the town. Witches and the devil are not the only cause for worry, John must also lead the militia and keep Salem safe from the French and Indians.
The hit series stars Montgomery, West, Seth Gabel, Tamzin Merchant, Lucy Lawless, Ashley Madekwe, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, Joe Doyle and Oliver Bell. Rocker Marilyn Mason has joined the cast season and will play the role of Thomas Dinley, Salem’s surgeon and barber. Manson is already very familiar with Salem. He collaborated with Tyler Bates to create Cupid Carries A Gun, the series’ opening score. He also performs it.
