After several delays, it seems ‘Amityville: The Awakening’ has a new theatrical release date in the summer of 2017. Hopefully, this time the film will actually be released.
The film follows Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a single Mother, and her three children, one who is very ill. They have relocated to a new town and a new home. Unaware of its history and reputation, the family moves into the Amityville house, where Butch DeFeo butchered his family all those years ago. Things quickly go from bad to worse when the family begins to experience intense paranormal phenomena.
Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Bella Thorne (Blended), Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time), Cameron Monaghan (Shameless), Thomas Mann (Project X) and Robo Cop’s Kurtwood Smith star in ‘Amityville: The Awakening’, written and directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac) with Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions serving as producer for the film.
‘Amityviile: The Awakening’ will arrive in theaters on June 30, 2017.
